After missing the 2007 season with her pregnancy, Hayden-Johnson re-signed with the Lynx.

Hayden-Johnson was originall drafted by the Lynx in the 2004 WNBA draft as the 7th overall pick. She has career averages of 6.2 ppg, 3.9 rebounds and 1.5 blocks.

During the off-season, Hayden-Johnson has been playing in the Turkish League averaging 11.3 ppg, 6.8 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks. Her team, Besiktas Cola Turka, is currently in the playoffs.

“After a successful stint overseas, we are very excited to have Vanessa back with the organization,” Lynx CEO Roger Griffith said. “The organization and our fans missed Vanessa’s presence on and off the court while she was out in 2007.

“Now that she is back on the court, Vanessa has worked hard overseas to get ready for our season in 2008. We anticipate that she will be ready to help our team when she arrives in training camp following the end of her season in Turkey.”
